Our Story

Established in 1960, Novi's Beef started as a "shack" on the corner of Ogden and Oak Park Avenues in Berwyn. Since then, it has grown to be an established landmark with seating for 70 customers.

The Lattas family has owned Novi's since 1989 and your food is still prepared fresh daily, with all of the food still being cooked in-house with no preservatives. We have won several prestigious accolades including winning Illinois' #1 beef sandwich in a May 2016 USA Today Poll! We have also been featured on WGN Chicago's Best and won the 2016 Best of Berwyn Award.

When Nick "Novi" founded Novi's Beef, he just wanted to create tasty beef sandwiches for his community to enjoy. Not only is Novi's a Chicagoland landmark (we've kept the famous counter tops through expansion), but it also serves as the south suburb's premier catering establishment. We still hold true old Nick Novi's intentions-great food and great prices.

1st time here. I ordered a 6 inch beef combo for my self and cheeseburger combo for my son. I asked if they could make the beef a 9 inch and they were happy to do it. Both the beef and cheeseburger were excellent and service was great. Definitely will be back.

The best Italian beef in all of the Chicago area in my opinion. I have been coming here for 20+ years and always enjoyed it. Everything is made fresh. The guy in the kitchen "Tony" has been there every time, and that is great to see.

This is Definitely the best beef sandwich in the city of Chicago . Tony is always the cook when I come in he works very hard and is polite customer service is on point and food is always consistent.
